[Jeff Buckley] Lover, you should have come over [Jamie Cullum]

Looking out the door I see the rain fall upon the funeral mourners,
Parading in a wake of sad relations as their shoes fill up with water.
Maybe I'm too young to keep good love from going wrong
But tonight you're on my mind so you'll never know.

I'm broken down and hungry for your love with no way to feed it.
Where are you tonight, you know how much I need it.
Too young to hold on and too old to break free and run.

Sometimes a man he gets carried away,
when he feels like he should be having his fun.
And he's much too blind to see the damage he's done
Cause sometimes a man must awake to find
that really he has no one.

So I'll wait for you and I'll burn.
Will I ever see your sweet return,
Oh will I ever learn...
Oh lover, you should've come over
Cause it's not too late.

Lonely is the room, the bed is made, the open window lets the rain in.
Burning in the corner is the only one who dreams he had you with him.
My body turns and yearns for a sleep that won't ever come.

Jane Austen

In her short life Jane Austen wrote six of the greatest novels in the English language.

"The more I know of the world, the more I am convinced that I shall never see a man whom I can really love."
Jane Austen in Sense and Sensibility

"The one claim I shall make for my own sex is that we love longest, when all
hope is gone."
Anne Elliot in Persuasion

"Perhaps after all it is possible to read too many novels."
Henry Tilney in Northanger Abbey

"We all have our best guides within us, if only we would listen."
Fanny Price in Mansfield Park

Eu não sei dizer@Theatro Circo@David Fonseca

O silêncio deixa-me ileso

Tu ru ru ru ru ru ru ru
Tu ru Tu ru ru ru ru ru ru
Tu ru ru ru
Tu ru ru

ESSAY

Can’t say I haven’t tried.
I went to your closet and broke down your walls.
I did try. With no restraints.
I did what you wanted, no questions asked.
I just can’t understand the probability inside the facts.
Not logical, perhaps.
You came and took everything with you.
The cause I can’t explain, I just wish I could.
Give me your reasons for not having granted me with your truth.
I’ll forget and put aside those answers they give me.
Like they give away laws.

You have the right to remain silent.
I need you to realise what you haven’t done for me.
Along with your non-words, lies have kept me in company.
Without you I can’t endure those lies.
No more.
The velocity of the world keeps ringing in my head.
Like no other before.
I made a discovery.
I’ve unravelled your silence.
Became wise and wishfull.
I shouldn’t.
No hopes were granted, no words were taken.
I’ll write an article reporting on your common sense.
Those behaviours you hide and those you keep alive for me.
Stretch your arms and lay them on my neck.
I want you to feel what is like to trap someone.
In a spider web.

Before leaving.
I’ll make sure you’ll get hurt.
What to do with a freedom you don’t know how to use?
Get real or dye trying.
Go to nowhere fast.

P.S. - escrito com alguém em particular no pensamento.
dedicado a alguém algures neste mundo.
